Real Power

I think the biggest mistake people make when up against trouble is having the idea that they will give it all they've got and then if they run up against a wall, they will turn to God as a last resort. That's the surest way to exhaust yourself unnecessarily. The old saying, "God helps those who help themselves" is not quite right in the sense that people think. The best way to "help yourself" is to immediately ask God for help in every situation. He will give you the strength and power you need. People make a mistake when they believe they need to exhaust themselves first. And it's an insult to God. God wants us to ask him for EVERYTHING. And unfortunately some people are too proud to do it. I would like them to know that this very pride is what is keeping them from real power.
