We are nearing the end of another calendar year. Although the sun sets on December 31 and rises again on January 1st, as it does every evening and every morning, still there is something spiritual about the new beginning. The calendar year helps me mark a good opportunity for renewal.Lord, help me to turn over the hourglass and begin again my commitment to You and all that You have ordered for my life. As the sand begins to sift yet again through the glass, make me new. Help me to take courage, and to renew my strength.
